Late Summer Photo Review
Before I get to dispensing today's links I wanted to announce a couple more posts to the Alt Text Photo Gallery. Within the Travel - Road Trips section I have posted two new galleries of some recent travels this summer / fall. The first is a Labor Day weekend trip through the Badlands and Black Hills that Jena and I took with some friends and the second is a canoe trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (my second and Jena's first time to a beautiful part of the world). I didn't do much in the way of optimizing or messin' with the photos but, I hope you enjoy them, nonetheless. Now on with the links:

- Minnesota's own slimy Mayor Quimby, Norm Coleman is caught between his vow to protect ANWR and his desire to be Bush's BFF.
- Man kills deer...with bare hands.
- Woman selling her house on eBay...with her in it.
- Politics in Washington getting downright "West Wing"-y. Here is more on Harry Reid's strategy to keep the heat on the Bush administration.
- Stop gap technology, satellite radio still far from making any money
- More Pee-Wee Herman movies to come?
- IBM slows down light to 1/300th of its normal speed; Hopes to create photon-based processors.
- Nestle receives patent for coffee-beer, despite the fact that it has been around for many years.
- Some poor predictions on how Kevin Garnett would fare in the NBA. I like the following quote that pokes holes in all those "expert" remarks:
"If Kevin Garnett were only 5-foot-8, pudgy and going to work on a newspaper delivery truck, I doubt if many sports journalists would fret about his future."
