The Winds of War
85

This is a mini-series made in the 80's based upon the novel of the same name by Herman Wouk. It is a good story that provides some interesting stories against the back drop of the early years of World War II. The best thing about it for me was how it put a sense of perspective and a timeline of those years for me.

Aside from some great performances by Robert Mitchum (who plays U.S. naval officer and attaché in Berlin), Ralph Bellamy (Franklin Delano Roosevelt), Jeremy Kemp (a German general) and especially Günter Meisner (who plays Hitler) the acting and dialog isn't always that great, in fact there were several scenes where I thought I could be watching a daytime soap.
